Clumping, warm season grass with narrow, deep green arching leaves. Foliage turns to golden yellow in the fall and beige in winter. Large, long-lasting, purple, bottle brush-like flowers emerge in late summer, arching outwards like a fountain. Flowers turn brown and persist until early winter. Tolerant of drought, wet soils, erosion and air pollution.
